Cotswold Poppies

Sometimes work commitments are more onerous than others. Today I had cause to travel out through the Cotswolds: the sun was shining and the scenery was magnificent. All around were glowing fields of rape and, somewhere in the vicinity of Chipping Norton, I came across this wonderful Monet-esque scene of a poppy field. As I was ‘working’ I only had time to capture a quick snap with my phone camera, but they say the best camera is the one you have with you.

There are a few equally good fields in the area, very picturesque. Wish I’d had more time and my proper camera.
